Support and advice for the various aspects of assessment at the University are available through a number of channels.

Training (Faculty Specific):

A programme of staff development to support the Assessment Journey Programme has been defined in collaboration with each faculty TEL team. Details are published on the faculty TEL blogs. Please see the links under ‘Resources’ on the right hand side of the page.

General: provides video training on common and specialist software packages, as well as more general or conceptual videos, and are an excellent resource for both staff and students. You will need your standard SHU login details to access this resource, and apps are available to allow the videos to be viewed on iPhone and iPad  or  Android devices.

System Issues:

Business Contingency Plans are in place to provide a consistent approach should University systems including Blackboard ever become unavailable for assessment-based processes including the submission of student work or to allow marking or the provision of feedback to be completed.
