The Module Review process monitors the extent to which students meet the stated aims and learning outcomes. Module Leaders complete a Module Review form after each delivery of a module and not later than two weeks after the relevant Departmental Assessment Board (DAB).
Please click here for the AQS annual review forms. The module review template can be found under the ‘Resources’ section.
The Modification to Approved Provision process can also be found under the ‘Resources’ section.
When it comes to reviewing and reflecting on assessment, key information can be gained from student and staff feedback throughout the academic year that can inform future delivery of your module/s for example; through module evaluation questionnaires, student attainment, student voice forums, external examiner comments and module teaching team review meetings.
Information gathered from student and staff on assessment and feedback can be included within your module review.
When reviewing your approach to assessment and feedback for the next academic year, you could consider questions such as: can some creativity be built into the assessment task; can you engage students in designing the assessment criteria and assessment statement; which feedback approaches allow you and your module team to easily feedback online; will changes to the design of the module help the students achieve the learning outcomes set.
Once you have completed your module review, this information can feed back into the Assessment Lifecycle, providing an iterative process to inform your future module design. The step by step guide in Theme 2 Setting will take you through this process covering the key areas below.
